BLACK METAL BAND
“DARK SUPREMACY”

I wrote all the music—from the guitar, bass, keys, to drum parts—except for the lyrics. I incorporated influences from Blink 182, Taylor Swift, various metalcore artists like As I Lay Dying, and I injected the tone and atmosphere of Cradle of Filth and Dimmu Borgir to create the simple sounds of Dark Supremacy.

We headlined our 2nd show and took 2nd place at a Battle of the Bands event. We almost signed to a small record label that wanted to take us on a tour in Japan, but we ended up drawing sharks and phallic objects on the contract because we didn’t like the terms.

Below is our one and only album: Holding Two Invisible Orbs.

“As Angels Weep,” is about how the world ended because someone ate the last bagel.

“Being A Zombie Isn’t As Fun As It Looks (And It Didn’t Look That Much Fun To Begin With)” is about zombies and we wanted a ridiculously long song title.

“Tarsals Of A Dead Goddess” is about ankles.

“The Passion of Mel Gibson’s Apocalypto” is a good example of us reaching into the power metal genre and creating an anthem piece.

“Dreamt I Died” is about the aftermath of taking mushrooms. It was almost featured in a B movie, but I never returned the call to the producer because I wasn’t interested in selling out at the time.
